Kyoto is a dream come true to every Japan travellers who wish to experience nature and their culture all at the same time..
We went there last July, during summer. The experience was great since the weather is not too hot and a bit windy. The trees were so green and the crickets are everywhere during this season.
Our first stop was at Fushimi Inari Taisha. There we enjoyed the view of the magical, seemingly unending path of over 5000 vibrant orange torii gates with carved japanese writings per torii.
There are also food stalls around the corner so you can eat and refresh after a long walk through the shrine.
Found a refreshing matcha shake around the area:
After visiting the shrine, we decided to check out the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest.
The walking paths that cut through the bamboo groves is best for walking and bicycle ride.
The forest itself is particularly attractive when there is a light wind and the tall bamboo stalks sway gently back and forth.
There are also rickshaws around the area where you can ride on it while enjoying the view.
Somewhere near the area, we found a small shop selling freshly squeezed grapefruit juice.
The drink is delicious, sweet and tart and best during summer.
The experience was amazing and we're looking forward to visit there again on Spring.
There are also other places around Arashiyama which we haven't visited yet like the famous bridge - Togetsukyo.
Kyoto experience was very awesome - the atmosphere is very relaxing, calm and the view is very gorgeous at the same time.
