Chii~zu: A Journey inside the Nikon Museum

I don't really enjoy going to museums but since I'm a hobbyist photographer, I decided to give Nikon Museum a visit. Depending on how you spend your time in a museum, a visit can take around 30 minutes up to 2 hours. In my case, I spent around 1 hour there. This is very easy to fit in your schedule if you have an hour or two to spare. Without further ado, いこう!

Way to go!

The nearest station is Shinagawa Station. It's easy to access since you can ride ride Yamanote Line going there.
  • Take the Konan Exit
    Konan Exit
  • Upon exiting, go right and look for the Intercity Shop and Restaurant Hall. Here's how it looks like:
  • Go inside the Intercity and follow the sign that leads to C棟 (Building C). Here's the layout of the Intercity:

The path from JR Shinagawa Station to Building C is very easy to follow so you should encounter no problems.

What's in the box?

There are three things I like about this museum:
1. Free of Charge
2. English-speaker Friendly (Even the staff can speak very good English)
3. Interactive and Educational
This museum is suitable for all ages. Foreigners don't need to worry since all displays have an English translation. Also, when I went there, there are only 5 visitors (As you can see in the photos) so I was able to play with the interactive displays as long as I want and however I want *evil smile*. This is the layout of the museum:

My favorite part of the Museum is the Universe of Nikon not because of the videos presented but because of the crystal ball-like device used to move the cursor.

Even though the entrance to the museum is free of charge, prepare some money for some omiyage (gifts) and/or souvenirs. I was supposed to buy a ¥3000+ Nikon Stainless Tumbler but it wasn't available, unfortunately. So I just bought a ¥500 key chain.
***Many Japanese people use the words "Chii... zu..." instead of "1... 2... 3..." when taking photos; hence the title.****
