3 beautiful ryokan with a view of Mt. Fuji

When it comes to my favorite way to vacation, I'd have to say that relaxing at a ryokan is up there at the top. Great food, pleasant accommodation, and best of all - onsen facilities! My most-loved ryokan experience in Japan so far was one with a brilliant view of Mount Fuji - it was one of those times in life where you are just in awe of your surroundings. If you're like me, and you're content with viewing Mt. Fuji from a distance rather than climbing it, here are three ryokan you can stay at that will give you those views.

Located on Lake Kawaguchi, Konansou has a range of rooms - some with a lake view and the others with a view of Mt. Fuji. Even if you don't get a room that has a Fuji view, the ryokan has public baths and even a foot bath where you can get that incredible Fuji scenery.
From my stay at Konansou - this was the view from our balcony!

The standard bookings come with breakfast and dinner included - you can request your booking without meals, but I definitely think the food is worth it!
The littlest details are all thought of here!

You can find the Konansou website here (in English) for more information.

Kozantei Ubuya

Also on the banks of Lake Kawaguchi, Kozantei Ubuya has rooms that offer lake and mountain views - double the beauty! Even the public baths at Kozantei Ubuya offer you views of Fuji San, so you can enjoy the scenery and soak any worries away.

Kaiseki cuisine is another reason that makes a ryokan stay great, and Kozantei Ubuya has a pretty impressive lineup - even the dishware is just gorgeous, and so colorful! Significant care is put into the choice of dishware as well as the preparation and presentation of the food, so you're treated to a meal that delights all the senses.

Every room at Kukuna has a private balcony where you get views of the lake and of Mt. Fuji. Enough to get you booking your flights and accommodation yet? They've also got an open terrace on-site restaurant, spa treatments available, and even a kids room if you're traveling with little ones in your entourage.

As you'll come to expect with ryokan accommodation, the hospitality is next level amazing. When you arrive you'll be served with tea and sweets to enjoy - talk about a warm welcome!

If you are looking for somewhere to stay that brings new meaning to "a room with a view", then you can't go wrong with any of these three options.

Enjoy Japan, and Safe Travels!
